The Sasol Solar Challenge cannot exist without the help of volunteers and observers. These are men and women who travel to the event at their own cost and who assist in various roles, from scrutineers and administrators to observers and support drivers on the event.
Observers are required to be available from the event scrutineering on Tuesday 20 September 2016 up to the award ceremony in Cape Town on Sunday 2 October 2016.
Travel costs from Cape Town back to Pretoria will be arranged and paid by the organisers. During the on-road event the teams look after the observers and they eat and camp with the teams. Extra observers will be looked after by the organisers.
Volunteers travel to Pretoria at their own cost, and can perform various functions on the Sasol Solar Challenge.
